Economy Kamchatka producers presented products with export potential 03.04.2023

Marina Yakutova, General Director of Development Corporation of Kamchatka and ERDC, as well as employees of both structures, took part in a meeting of the working group on improving the investment climate in regard to the export.

The main issue discussed at the meeting concerned the participation of regional companies in MITT, the 29th international travel exhibition which was held in Moscow on March 16-18 of this year. The Minister of Tourism of Kamchatka Krai, Vladimir Rusanov, who made a report, highly appreciated the results of the participation of 15 regional companies in the exhibition. They have signed several dozen preliminary cooperation agreements with domestic and foreign tour operators. The collective exhibition stand of Kamchatka was very popular with visitors of the exhibition. The great interest of the participants of the working group meeting was aroused by the series Kamchatka Sightseeing (rus: «Камчатка экскурсионная») presented by the president of the holding company Novaya Kniga Stanislav Kozhan, consisting of three full-color brochures. Employees of the Ministry of Tourism and the regional exhibition and trade center were involved in the work on them. Vladimir Rusanov noted the high demand for guidebooks to the region not only by tour operators, but also by the guests of the peninsula. He is sure that the Kamchatka Sightseeing series released by Novaya Kniga will be widely distributed both in our country and abroad. The working group meeting was concluded by the presentation of novelties of tourist food produced by the Agrotek group. Alexandra Erokhina, the deputy director for marketing, who represented them, emphasized that the composition of ready to use lunch boxes was developed together with the tourist community. By the beginning of the high tourist season, which, as we all hope, will give a new record number of visits to the peninsula, Kamchatka producers are preparing to release new types of souvenirs, culinary and other products with export potential.
